Early Life and CareerJoohoney began his career as a trainee under Starship Entertainment in 2014. He was part of a project group called Nu Boyz (along with #Gun, Shownu, and Wonho) formed under Starship Entertainment in August 2014. The quartet uploaded multiple mixtapes on their company’s YouTube channel and also performed at the opening show of the Starship X concert in December 2014. In December 2014, Starship Entertainment and Mnet launched a survival program named No. Mercy and Joohoney were selected along with six other participants (including Shownu and Wonho) as part of the new boy group Monsta X on the last episode of the show. Achievements with Monsta XJoohoney is the main rapper of Monsta X. The group debuted on May 14th, 2015 with their first mini-album “Trespass”. They gained popularity with their hit songs such as “Hero”, “All In”, and “Dramarama”. Joohoney also contributed to the songwriting and composition of some of their songs. He released his first mixtape “JUNG JI” on April 28th, 2015. Solo CareerJoohoney released his first solo album “Lights” on May 22nd, 2023.
