Early Life and Education

Hyunjin was born on March 20, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea. He is an only child and has a pet dog named Kkami. When he was six or seven years old, he lived in Las Vegas for a short while and used the name Sam. He attended SOPA (School of Performing Arts) in Seoul, where he studied Practical Dance and graduated in 2019.

Career

Pre-debut

Hyunjin was scouted by JYP Entertainment when he was on a shopping trip with his mother during middle school. He joined the company without any prior experience and trained for two years. He developed his interest in dancing by watching the senior trainees perform on stage and practicing various types of dance at school.
