Early Life and Career

Joshua joined Pledis Entertainment as a trainee in 2013 and trained for two years and two months before debuting with SEVENTEEN in 2015. He is fluent in both Korean and English and has showcased his language skills by speaking five different languages during an episode of Weekly Idol. Joshua’s family resides in Los Angeles, but his mother visits him in Korea from time to time.

Personal Life

Joshua is an only child, and his parents are both Koreans. He attended Downtown Magnets High School in Los Angeles. In his free time, Joshua enjoys reading, sleeping, eating, singing, playing the guitar, and watching movies. He has expressed his love for horror movies and anime, with One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach being some of his favorites.
