Early Life and Education

Jimin was born and raised in Geumjeong District, Busan. His immediate family includes his mother, father, and younger brother. As a child, he attended Busan’s Hodong Elementary School and Yonsan Middle School. In middle school, he joined Just Dance Academy to learn popping and locking. Prior to becoming a trainee at Big Hit Entertainment, Jimin studied contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts¹. He graduated from Korean Arts High School in 2014. Jimin continued his education at Global Cyber University and graduated with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment in August 2020.

Career

Jimin made his debut as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS on June 13, 2013. Since then, he has been an integral part of the group’s success. Known for his delicate and sweet voice, Jimin has captivated audiences worldwide with his exceptional performances and smooth dance moves.
